The Championships Day One Group One Fields

Breednet - Tuesday April 3

The fields are out for the four Group One races this Saturday, the first day of The Championships at Royal Randwick.

Kementari is one of the favoured runners in the Doncaster Mile on Saturday. Photo: Mark Smith. The Inglis Sires Produce has 15 acceptors with the fillies at the top of the markets headed by Golden Slipper runner-up Oohood and Seabrook, who had claims to be considered unlucky not to be closer than her fifth in the Golden Slipper.

The Australian Derby has 20 acceptors with a field of 18 to run, with the markets headed by Victorian Derby winner Ace High and up and coming Pierro three-year-old Furore, who was another unlucky last start when gaining an upgrade on protest to third in the Rosehill Guineas.

The T.J. Smith has 14 runners with Redzel a short priced favourite to win another major sprint.

Galaxy winner In Her Time and Newmarket Handicap runner-up Brave Smash are also well fancied.

Finally, the Doncaster Mile has 16 runners entered with the market dominated by the Winx beaten brigade from the Ryder Stakes in Happy Clapper and three year-old Kementari.
