New Stakes-Winner for Much Missed Hinchinbrook

Tara Madgwick - Sunday April 28
Sadly no longer with us, Hinchinbrook sired his 18th stakes-winner on Saturday when East Indiaman took out the Listed SAJC Nitchske Stakes at Morphettville.

HinchinbrookGelded before coming back into work for his current preparation, the Tony McEvoy trained three year-old has been in great form since then and scored a career best win in the 1400 metre sprint.

He worked forward from an outside draw and kicked strongly to the line to win by three-quarters of a length taking his overall record to three wins and four placings from 11 starts with prizemoney just shy of $150,000.

A $190,000 Magic Millions National Weanling Sale purchase from the Bell River Thoroughbreds draft for Tristarc Bloodstock, he was passed in when offered as a yearling and is raced by Glentree Racing.

East Indiaman is the best of five winners from Dash for Cash mare Dashie Diva, who has a two year-old and yearling colt to follow also by Hinchinbrook and is now in foal to Rubick

East Indiaman is the 18th stakes-winner for Yarraman Park's much missed Hinchinbrook, who died prematurely in July last year.
