One to Watch – Wyong

Tara Madgwick - Thursday July 29

A two year-old filly by Sebring that is a sister-in-blood to a pair of Group II winners is an obvious horse to follow from Wyong on Thursday.

Prepared by astute conditioner Tracey Bartley, Sebrenco won her debut at Quirindi back in February and was then was second at her first two runs back this preparation when she did a few things wrong.

Ridden positively by Kathy O’Hara in the Class 1 over 1200m, Sebrenco scored by a length as favourite giving promise of many more wins to come in the future as she matures.

Retained to race by her breeders, Sebrenco is the fifth winner from five to race from Encosta de Lago mare Larenco, who is a daughter of Group I winner La Volta and full sister to the dam of Group II winners Catch a Fire and Seaburge, who are both by Sebring.

Sebrenco is another smart 2YO winner for much missed Sebring.

Sebrenco has plenty of talent and is in good hands, so expect to see her progress next season.
