Juvenile Trial Watch – Rosehill

Tara Madgwick - Tuesday March 26
Champion sire Snitzel produced a trifecta in the second juvenile heat of the morning at Rosehill on Tuesday with the Spendthrift Farm colours carried to victory aboard a colt bought from Inglis Easter for $1,550,000.

Prepared by Team Hawkes, Spend made it two wins in as many trial outings when he coasted home to win his 895 metre heat by two lengths. He tracked the leader for Brenton Avdulla and was far too good in the run home clocking 53.40 seconds on the heavy ground which was the quickest of three two year-old heats.

Spend as a yearlingSpend was purchased from the Milburn Creek draft and is the second foal of stakes-winning Hussonet (USA) mare Walk with Attitude, a daughter of stakes-winner Hillfa from the family of champion sprinter and sire Invincible Spirit and dual Group I winning 2YO Pride of Dubai.

Milburn Creek will offer the current yearling from Walk with Attitude, a colt by Written Tycoon, as Lot 329 at Inglis Easter next month.
