Buyers Better Be Ready!

Breednet - Sunday December 2

Better than Ready has already had a stellar start to his breeding career striking early with six wins on the track from five horses in his first crop - leading first season sire lists and also positioned 2nd behind well proven sire, I Am Invincible for current season overall 2yrs sires lists that was success was again lifted on Saturday by his first metropolitan winner.

Betaima - MM TwitterExciting young filly, Betaima, held off a strong field leading the entire way at Doomben in the $125,000 Brisbane Broncos Sizzling Plate over 1050m expertly ridden by Jeff Lloyd, who looks to be a very serious contender for Edmonds Stables for The Star 2yr Magic Millions Classic next month with her earnings now over $120,000.

Betaima was a $62,000 purchase from 2018 Gold Coast Yearling Sales from vendors, Yarramalong Stud and also her dam Naima, has a cracking full sister foal born safely onto the ground just a few weeks ago for breeders, Dane Trompert and Jamie Milliken of Deejay Bloodstock.

BTR's winners also include The Odessey, Well Prepared, Lepreezy, Better Reflection with plenty more promising youngsters to hit the racetracks soon.

With head turning presence, stunning good looks and great pedigree - as his name suggests, Better Than Ready is a son of champion stallion, More Than Ready, who had great success during his racing career trained by Kelly Schweida with 8 wins, 4 of those at stakes level and Group 1 placing, this talent on racetrack is now converting this into highly sought after juvenile speedy foals.

So far his progeny have found the line well numerous high profile trainers across QLD and some of these young horses will be targeting the prestigious The Star 2yr Magic Millions Classic, perfectly prepared and ready to win!

Better Than ReadyThe faith in Better Than Ready who stands at Lyndhurst Stud with talented horseman brothers, Jeff and Griff Kruger and support has been unwavering from stallion partners - very passionate and astute investors, Richard and Joanie Foster of Yarrramanlong Stud who presented large drafts of his yearlings at all major sales across Australia in the past year.

Currently standing for $9900 which is incredible value and already served a full book of quality mares this season.

Perhaps the sunshine state of QLD is showing buyers that their stallions are seriously better than ready to perform on the national stage?

Notably this time last year - Spirit of Boom only had found two winners in the board for the season - whilst Better than Ready's progeny have already found five winners so far with some of the best ones yet to be unleashed in the southern states.

Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale has two offerings by BTR catalogued:-

Lot 990 and  Lot 1016 to be offered on Sunday 13th January, 2019 which could be perfect timing for vendors if Betaima or The Odessey take home top honours in the featured race on the life changing and breed shaping Magic Millions $10million Race day at AQUIS Park on Gold Coast on Saturday 12th January, 2019.

Definitely a promising young QLD stallion that buyers, owners and trainers better be ready to follow into the future!
