Aquis
shuttler Holy Roman Emperor (IRE) has been in top form this year and added a 12thGroup I winner to his resume when well bred filly Well Timed, won the Group I Preis der Diana at Dusseldorf on Sunday.
A homebred for Stall Ullman, Well Timed was a last start winner of the Group II
Hoppegarten Diana Trial and was favourite for her first try at 1m3f. Trained by
Jean-Pierre Carvalho and ridden by Filip Minari,
she forged clear to win by a length and three-quarters in a dominant
display.
With four wins from five starts, Well Timed is the best of six winners from
stakes-winner Wells Present, a half-sister to the dam of Group I Hong Kong Gold
Cup winner and promising young sire Akeed Mofeed.
A versatile proven Group I sire who gets sprinters, stayers and everything in
between, Holy Roman Emperor has enjoyed a great start to 2018 with Group I
Irish Two Thousand Guineas winner Romanised also among his recent
stakes-winners.
With 76 stakes-winners worldwide and 6.4% stakes-winners to runners, Holy Roman
Emperor represents phenomenal value at his 2018 service fee of $9,900.
