Talented Zoustar gelding Zoustyle has never lacked for ability, but soundness issues have kept him out of racing for more than a year with Tony Gollan finally getting him back to the track at the Sunshine Coast on Saturday with happy results.
Sent out favourite for the $125,000 Swiss Ace Plate(1000m), Zoustyle blazed over the turf for Ryan Maloney leading all the way to win by a length and three-quarters.
He stopped the clock at 55.72 seconds in taking his overall record to eight wins and a second from 12 starts with prizemoney just shy of $460,000.

“It has been a long time getting back here today,” Gollan said of the 14-month break while the horse recovered from suspensory ligament issues.
“He is such a fast horse that steps away well, he uses his action and he’s broken the track record.
“I am sure he is in for a really big summer, he has come back beautiful and I can’t thank Lee Everson enough.
“It was 60 weeks off the scene but he has barely been idle, a month off here and there so he is a very fit horse.”
Bred and raced by Desharon Bloodstock and Stableboard Bloodstock, Zoustyle is the best of two winners from Anabaa mare Fashion (GER) who was a stakes-placed winner in Germany.
A daughter of the stakes-winning Acatenango mare Felina, Fashion (Ger) is a half-sister to the Group III winner Felicity, the dam of the Champion Older Male Miler in Germany in 2013, Felician and stakes-winner Fly First.
Fashion has a yearling colt by Zoustar and has foaled this spring producing a filly by Dundeel. She was then covered by Bivouac.
Already a Listed winner, Zoustyle could well improve on that over the Brisbane Summer Carnival.
