One to Watch – Sale

Tara Madgwick - Tuesday April 14

The juvenile maiden at Sale on Tuesday was won in eye-catching style by a promising son of Rosemont Stud’s Starspangledbanner.

Starspangledbanner is the sire of Show Some DecorumPrepared by Anthony Freedman, Show Some Decorum had the advantage of barrier one for his debut and made good use of it.

He led all the way for Jye McNeil and was really strong to the line, zipping clear over the final stages to win by a couple of lengths.

A $40,000 Magic Millions Adelaide purchase for Anthony Freedman Racing/Blue Sky Bloodstock from the draft of Princess Park Thoroughbred Farm, Show Some Decorum has an interesting pedigree and may well run a lot further than you may think.

He is the first foal of No Love Letters (GB), a half-sister by Galileo sire Roderic O’Connor to French staying stakes-winner Piracicaba.

No Love Letters has a female family packed with stamina as her grand-dam Montaria is a half-sister to triple Group I winner and champion staying sire Monsun, who has given us Melbourne Cup winners Protectionist, Fiorente and Almandin.

Given the potent mix of speed and stamina in his pedigree, Show Some Decorum may well have a lot more to offer as his career unfolds.
