Champion sire Snitzel has been churning out those two year-old winners this season adding a 16th to the tally on Wednesday with a Sandown success for Itzhot.
Trained at Lindsay Park by the Hayes Dabernig team, Itzhot denied the favourite Flying Award to break his maiden by a nose at his sixth start.
A $160,000 Inglis Classic purchase from the Kingstar Farm draft for Lindsay Park Racing / Andrew Williams Bloodstock, Itzhot is the sixth winner from stakes-winning Desert Prince (IRE) mare Lady of the Desert.
Snitzel has been a powerhouse source of juvenile winners in recent years achieving a record of 32 Australian winners in the 2016/2017 season.
