Spirit's high class son Cable Bay (IRE) has been busy churning out winners in
the Northern Hemisphere this year posting his 16th winner overnight
with a tenacious victory for Belle Anglaise at Brighton in the UK.
Trained by Stuart Williams, Belle Anglaise improved at her second outing to
score a neck win with five lengths back to the third horse in the six furlong maiden.
Belle Anglaise comes from a stout female family and is a half-sister to Muir
(GB), who won the Group II SAJC Adelaide Cup in 2011. She is the eighth winner
from Belle Allemand, a half-sister to Group II winner Que Belle and
stakes-winners Quartier Latin and Alybgood.
Cable Bay has made s strong start to his stud career with his first European crop
winners headed by Group III winner Liberty Beach.
His oldest Australian progeny are yearlings and Cable Bay stands at Woodside
Park at a fee of $13,200.
