Sun Stud's 'Fast Stayer' Fiorente has produced his fourth stakes winner
with a gutsy performance by Andrew Noblet Racing's 3YO filly, Moor Gait, in the
Group Three TAB SA Classic over 2500m at Morphettville Racecourse on Saturday.
After sitting just off the leaders, Moor Gait bullocked her way through to
notch up a memorable win for breeder Tom Curnow and clearly has a promising
future.
Moor Gait is out of the Blackfriars mare, L'Inquisitor and is closely related
to multiple Group winner Amber's Double, but again shows that Fiorente is
rapidly emerging as one of Australia's most exciting young sires.
Headed by the Group Two winners and Group One placed pair of Hawkshot and Stars
Of Carrum, Fiorente has also showed in recent weeks that he can produce a
classy 2YO with the Sun Bloodstock bred and raced Power Scheme winning the
Fernhill Stakes in Sydney last month.
Somewhat astutely, Moor Gait's dam, L'Inquisitor, was covered last spring by
Fiorente.
Fiorente will stand this season at Sun Stud at a fee of $27,500 inc. GST – with
no payment until getting a live foal.
