The
Listed East Coast Cup at Greyville in South Africa on Saturday was won by four
year-old All Too Hard mare Roy's
Riviera.
Trained by Frank Robinson for prolific South African owner Roy Moodley, Roy's
Riviera scored a half length win in the 2000 metre feature, her fourth victory
in 21 starts.
Stakes-placed three times previously, she was overdue for a Black Type success
and becomes the eighth stakes-winner for Vinery Stud's All Too Hard, who stands
at a fee of $27,500 this year.
Yet another stakes-winner bred by Gerry Harvey, she was a $70,000 Magic
Millions purchase for Worldwide Bloodstock from his Baramul Stud draft.
Roy's Riviera is a half-sister to stakes-winner Sebring Sally and is one of six
winners from good producer Donna Amata, a half-sister by Anabaa (USA) to
stakes-winners Yesterday and Donna Dior from the family of Golden Slipper
winner Catbird.
