Snowzone was having his second run back from a spell and bolted clear to win
the 1200 metre maiden by nearly three lengths in a dominant display.
A $220,000 Magic Millions purchase from the Cressfield draft for Australian
Bloodstock, Snowzone is the last foal and tenth winner from Snowdrift, whose
list of superior offspring is headed by Group I winner Snowland, Group II
winner Portillo (dam of Group II winner Ghisoni) and stakes-winner Snippetson.
Snowzone was one of two juvenile winners on Wednesday for Snitzel joining
Canterbury winner Discharged giving the champion sire 18 two year-old winners
for the season.
