Expensive Snitzel Colt Scores in South Africa

A $700,000 Inglis Easter purchase for Shadwell, three year-old Snitzel colt Anjom opened his account at Vaal in South Africa on Tuesday.

Anjom as a yearlingPrepared by Mike de Kock, Anjom was favourite for the 1400 metre maiden and posted a narrow win at his third start.

Bred and sold by Cressfield, Anjom is a half-brother to Group II winners Satin Shoes and Zarzuela and is the seventh winner from Group I winner Star Satire.

Now 21, star Satire has not had a foal the past two seasons.
