Yarraman
Park's flagship sire I Am Invincible posted his 15th two year-old
winner of the season at Kembla on Tuesday with a debut victory for the Joe
Pride trained gelding Fifteen Rounds.
He travelled last in the field of six for Corey Brown and swept home at the
finish to beat the older horses and win the open 1000 metre maiden by a neck.
A $200,000 Inglis Easter purchase for Pride Racing from the Yarraman Park
draft, Fifteen Rounds is the third winner for stakes-winning import Sugar Bay (Can).
Fifteen Rounds was bred by Ron and Rod Dufficy, who retain a share in his
ownership, and his win will be well received given the mare has a weanling colt
also by I Am Invincible.
With 15 two year-old winners on the board, I Am Invincible moves to second
behind Spirit of Boom on the leading Australian two year-old sires by winners
list.
He stands this spring at a fee of $192,500.
