New 2YO Stakes-Winner for Almanzor

Cambridge Stud’s Almanzor (FR) featured overnight in France with a new juveniles stakes -winner with the Group III Prix des Reservoirs (1600m) won in good style by progressive filly Gezora.

Trained by Nicolas le Roch, Gezora improved on her last start second in Group company at Chantilly to score a length and three-quarter win and has now won two of four starts laying the foundations for a good classic season next year.

mebred for Haras d’Etreham, Gezora is a half-sister to stakes-placed Garance and is the best of seven winners from Group I winning Silver Hawk mare Germance.

She is the 21st stakes-winner for Almanzor, who stands at a fee of $30,000 and has sired four stakes-winners in Australia this spring.
