Yarraman Park Celebrate Historic Achievement - I Am Invincible Sets New Record

Media Release - Sunday May 5

One of Australia's premier thoroughbred studs, Yarraman Park proudly acknowledges a momentous milestone in the world of horse racing and breeding in Australia.

Our esteemed stallion, I Am Invincible or Vinnie as he is known, has shattered many records during his career and over the weekend has added an important new one to his CV.

I Am Invincible now holds the record for the highest seasonal earnings for a sire in Australia.

A runaway leader on the Australian General Sires List, I Am Invincible has surged past Snitzel’s long standing seasonal prizemoney record set back in the 2017/2018 season.

Snitzel made history when setting the mark with 173 winners that earned $29,243,613 and I Am Invincible has just ticked over 153 winners of $29,287,812, so with three months of the season to come he is within striking distance of a magical $30million in seasonal earnings.

With a legacy built on excellence and unparalleled performance, I Am Invincible has consistently dazzled right from the early days when his unique ability to upgrade the most pedestrian of mares to produce Group performers catapulted him into the national spotlight.

"We are immensely proud to witness I Am Invincible etch his name into Australian breeding history," expressed Arthur Mitchell.

"This record-breaking feat achieved previously by Fastnet Rock, Street Cry and Snitzel - all breed shapers of our industry - is a testament to the extraordinary talent embodied by Vinnie and his progeny."

Running at nearly 80% winners to runners and 9.5% SW to runner, I Am Invincible has the stats of a true champion sire with his stellar list of 107 stakes-winners headed by 10 time Group I winning $6.9million earner Imperatriz.

The superstar mare will be offered for sale at the Magic Millions National Broodmare Sale where she is likely to set a new Australian record price for a broodmare prospect at auction.

I Am Invincible spreads his success across all ages and through both colts and fillies with 47 stakes-winning colts / geldings and 60 fillies, while his 15 Group I winners include this season’s two year-old colt Move to Strike.

No stranger to breaking records, having set the mark for Australian seasonal winners when siring 208 in 2021, I Am Invincible is on track for a third consecutive Champion Australian Sire title.

The achievement will elevate him into rarified company as the only other sires to win three or more Champion Australian Sire titles this century are Danehill, Redoute’s Choice and Snitzel.

I Am Invincible is set to leave a lasting legacy with no fewer than 10 of his sons standing at stud in Australia and New Zealand and they include Group I producing sires Hellbent, Brazen Beau, Santos and Overshare, while his champion son Home Affairs will have his first yearlings offered at sales in 2025.
