Twin Hills Mares in Foal to Too Darn Hot

Twin Hills Stud will present five mares at the Magic Millions National Broodmare Sale this week and they include two that are in foal to Too Darn Hot (GB), who sired Arabian Summer to win the $1million MM National 2YO Classic at Doomben on Saturday securing his standing as the likely Champion Australian First Season Sire of 2023/2024.

A Champion 2YO and triple Group I winner by Dubawi, Too Darn Hot has had a big fee increase this spring rising from $44,000 to $110,000, so there will be tremendous interest in the mares that will produce his foals this spring.

Lot 881 Nevershotthedeputy Winning Written Tycoon mare from stakes-winner Miss Power Bird with the family producing a slew of Group and stakes-winners including Time for War, Highflyer, Faithful Feat and South African based Royal Aussie tracing back to Benediction (IRE), the dam of Australian Horse of the Year Might and Power.

Her first foal born last spring is a colt by Too Darn Hot and she is back in foal to him again.

 

Lot 1041 Yaltara – Winning I Am Invincible mare and is a half-sister to Group III winner Khulaasa and stakes-winner Bulbula, the dam of Group winners Doull and Aryaaf.

From a very fast running family that has also produced Group II winning filly Lazzago and is in foal to Too Darn Hot in her first season at stud.

 

Also in the Twin Hills draft the imported stakes-winner Cadet Roni (USA), offered as Lot 695 in foal to Russian Revolution, who has already delivered a stakes-winner for this mare in Russian Roni.

Cadet Roni traces in tail female line to influential matriarch Best in Show opening the door to a myriad of line breeding options for the pedigree enthusiast.

 

Lot 876 is My Obsession, a metro winning daughter of champion sire Lonhro that has already earned her stripes at stud as the dam of Group III winner Vagrant, who has won over $300,000 in prizemoney.

It’s a solid Black Type family that has enjoyed a fresh burst of success this season producing Group I MRC Blue Diamond winner Hayasugi and she is in foal to Justify (USA), whose overwhelming global success will see him remain in Kentucky this year.

 

Lot 855 is Medician Miss, a placed half-sister by Street Boss (USA) to Group III winner Galaxy Pegasus tracing back in tail female line to Terlingua, the dam of breed shaping sire Storm Cat.

She is offered in foal to Snitzel’s brilliant Golden Slipper place-getter Best of Bordeaux in her second season at stud.
