Yarraman Winners at Canterbury

Tara Madgwick - Saturday December 16
The Triple Crown colours were carried to victory at Canterbury on Friday evening by promising Your Song colt Brave Song, a $67,500 Inglis Classic purchase from the Yarraman Park draft.

Brave Song as a yearlingThe Peter and Paul Snowden trained Brave Song showed plenty of ability in three starts back in July and August including a stylish win at Canterbury and was sent out a short priced favourite for his return.

He settled near the tail of the field and hit the line hard to win the Benchmark 73 event over 1250 metres running away by a length and a quarter.

With two wins and a second from just four starts, Brave Song has already won over $75,000 in prizemoney and looks well placed to continue progressing over the summer.

Bred and offered for sale by Yarraman Park, Brave Song is the third winner for Brave Choice, a sibling to Group II winner Brave Prince and stakes-winner Valourina, the dam of Group winners Media, Timbourina.

Brave Song wasn't the only Canterbury winner sold by Yarraman Park with four year-old Hinchinbrook mare Duchess Pedrille also finding the winner's circle for the Ron Quinton stable.

HinchinbrookAn $80,000 Inglis Classic buy back from the Yarraman Park draft for Pedrille Thoroughbreds who bred her, Duchess Pedrille has won two of 10 starts earning over $100,000 in prizemoney and is a half-sister to Group II winner O'Lonhro from Group II winner Mamzelle Pedrille

Duchess Pedrille brought up a winning double at Canterbury for Yarraman Park's Hinchinbrook, who sired three year-old filly Kissing Game to win the previous race for Prime Thoroughbreds.

Bred and sold by Yarraman Park, she is the second winner for Red Ransom (USA) mare Kiss 'n' Chase.

Hinchinbrook has had a busy week siring six winners in the past seven days and has 21 entries for Magic Millions and 28 for Inglis Classic.

Yarraman Park will offer 25 yearlings at Magic Millions in January, click here to see the draft.
