Too Hard posted his second winner in South Africa on Friday with a runaway win at Fairview for three year-old gelding Overdose, who has a half-brother headed to the 2018 Inglis Classic Yearling Sale.
Trained by Candice Bass-Robinson, Overdose was favourite for the 2400 metre
maiden and bolted in to win by four and three-quarter lengths.
Bred by Kia Ora Stud, Overdose was a $25,000 Inglis Classic purchase for
Heritage Bloodstock from the Bhima Thoroughbreds draft and is the second winner
for unraced Gayika, a full sister to South African Horse of the Year and
four-time Group I winner Igugu.
Bhima will offer the current yearling from Gayika, a colt by Deep Field as Lot
411 at the 2018 Inglis Classic Yearling Sale.
