five year-old Dark Eyes won the Listed Canberra Cup earlier this year and the
Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott trained gelding added another feature win to his
resume when taking out the $150,000 Goulburn Cup on Sunday.
A $68,000 Magic Millions National Yearling Sale purchase for Darby Racing from
the draft of Widden Stud, Dark Eyes seems to be getting better and better with
maturity.
He raced up on the pace for Blake Shinn from a good draw and kicked on strongly
to win the 1600 metre feature by half a neck.
Dark Eyes has won eight of 24 starts earning in excess of $468,000 in
prizemoney for his large team of happy owners.
Dark Eyes is the first winner for winning Gulch mare Cinnamon Dove (USA), a

Cinnamon Dove has a yearling colt by Rothesay and a colt foal by Brazen Beau.
