Tiz Invincible Wins G2 Tea Rose

Tara Madgwick - Saturday September 16

The $300,000 Group II ATC Tea Rose Stakes (1400m) at Randwick on Saturday was the third leg of the Darley Princess Series and outstanding I Am Invincible filly Tiz Invincible scored a commanding win over gallant Brave Smash (Jpn) filly Kimochi, who chased her home last start in the Group II Furious Stakes.

Trained by Ciaron Maher and David Eustace, Tiz Invincible has blossomed this spring and made it three wins on the trot when powering to a dominant length and a half win for Zac Lloyd, taking her overall record to three wins from five starts with prizemoney topping $673,000.

Ciaron Maher was thrilled with the win, given he believes there is plenty of improvement to come for this super talented filly.

“Her first start back she was a little bit keen in the mid stages and last start she was a bit better last start and we just her to keep improving in that way,” said Maher.

“You can still see even in her coat, she’s not there yet. Brilliant ride from Zac and she’s very exciting and there are some lovely races in store for her.”

Tiz Invincible as a $550,000 Inglis Easter purchase

Bred by Phoenix Thoroughbreds, Tiz Invincible was a $550,000 purchase for Bahen Bloodstock / Ciaron Maher Racing / Eric Lucas / Astute Bloodstock from the Segenhoe Stud draft at the 2022 Inglis Australian Easter Sale.

Foaled, raised and prepared for sale by Segenhoe, she is the second foal of Amuletum (GB), a winning half-sister by New Approach to 9-time Group I winner Anamoe from the Group I SAJC Australasian Oaks winner Anamato.

Amuletum has a two year-old colt by Pierata that sold for $200,000 at Magic Millions and has a yearling colt to follow by I Am Invincible. She was covered last spring by one time shuttler Aclaim(IRE).

Tiz Invincible looms as a future Group I winner for her champion sire I Am Invincible, who has already sired the winners of over $3million in prizemoney this season.
