Juvenile Trial Watch – Randwick

Tara Madgwick - Tuesday November 8

Two heats for juveniles were run at Randwick on Tuesday morning with the winners both coming from the Michael Freedman stable and they were a bargain priced colt by champion sire Exceed and Excel and a filly by I Am Invincible that is a three-quarter-sister-in-blood to a G1 winner.

I Am Invincible filly Blanc de Blanc made light work of the task at her first outing, steaming through long the inside to lead from the jump and coasting home to win as she pleased by more than three lengths.

Runner-up Madam Roselyn the most expensive filly from the final crop of Not a Single Doubt and is his most expensive filly ever sold.

A $360,000 Inglis Classic purchase for James Harron Bloodstock / Freedman Brothers Filly Partnership from the Yarraman Park draft, she is a three-quarter sister-in-blood to Group I winner Oohood from Another Sunday.

James Harron has already enjoyed success with this family having purchased dual Group I winner King’s Legacy for $1.4million, this now promising young stallion being a three-quarter brother to the dam of Blanc de Blanc.

Blanc de Blanc has a big pedigree and a motor to go with it!

The second heat went to Exceed and Excel colt Fludway, who ran very similar time in winning by a length over three youngsters by first season sires The Autumn sun, Justify (USA) and Harry Angel (IRE).

Bred on the same cross as Golden Gift winner Barber, Fludway was a $110,000 Inglis Easter purchase from the Torryburn Stud draft for Michael Freedman Racing / Julian Blaxland Bloodstock (FBAA). He is from Apamurra, a half-sister by Lonhro to the dam of Group I winners Alizee and Astern. He's also closely related to this season;s 2YO stakes-winner Zulfiqar.
