So You Think has had a lot of top class winners this season, but an unraced three year-old that won on debut at Kembla on Saturday for Proven Thoroughbreds may well be a horse to black book for the season to come.
Trained by Joe Pride, Think About It had shown good ability in two barrier trials earlier this month and was sent out favourite for the 1200m maiden.
He travelled nicely back in the field for Rory Hutchings and let down with a big finish to surge away and win by two lengths.
A $7
He is a half-brother to metro winner Private Cheetah and is the second winner from Tiare, a winning half-sister by Flying Spur to Group II winning sprinter Keen Array.
His grand-dam is by Zabeel and the family features two Group I winners in Hong Kong in The Duke and Sky Field, so there is plenty of quality on the page and So You think has produced Group I winners from daughters of both Flying Spur and Zabeel.
Tiare was sold through the Newgate Consignment at the 2021 Magic Millions National Broodmare Sale for $150,000 to Tasmania based Grenville Stud and she produced a Pierro colt for them last spring.
