16 from 16 for I Am Invincible

Tara Madgwick - Monday August 16

Yarraman Park’s champion sire I Am Invincible set an Australian record last season for individual Australian winners (208) and has not missed a beat as we move into the new season with 16 winners in 16 days, the latest of them Wild Wind, another success story for Inglis Digital.

A $600,000 Inglis Easter purchase for Hawkes Racing from the Newgate Farm draft, Wild Wind had six starts in Sydney for Team Hawkes placing just once, despite being gelded and undergoing a wind operation.

He was entered in the Inglis Digital January (early) Sale and was bought by his current owners for $25,000 and given to Donna Grisedale to train.

Wild Wind was bought for $25,000 on Inglis Digital, click to see his page.

Wild Wind won his first start for Grisedale taking out an 800m maiden at Coffs Harbour not long after the sale and was then spelled after one more run.

He resumed at Grafton today in a 1000m maiden and scored a short neck win, so has now paid for himself with two wins from three starts and the promise of more to come.
