It was a sea of Godolphin blue trying to chase down The Oddysey in Saturday’s Listed Magic Millions Falvelon Quality (1200m) at Eagle Farm, and it was left to Roheryn to achieve the feat.
With Michael Rodd in the saddle, the James Cummings-trained son of Lonhro came from the tail of the field to defeat The Oddysey (Better Than Ready) by a head.
It was Godolphin third and fourth with Isaurian (Exceed And Excel) edging out the top-weight Viridine (Poet’s Voice) for third.
It was the second stakes success for Roheryn who claimed the Group III ATC Show County Quality Handicap at Randwick in August.
The 5yo gelding advances his record to seven wins and three seconds from 16 starts with earnings of $540,650.
“The three of ours all ran well but all credit to Roheryn he was very strong late,” Godolphin’s travelling forman Nacim Dilmi said.

“I didn’t think he was going to get there but credit to our guys they fought it out well.
“ Isaurian and Viridine will probably go back to Sydney tonight while Roheryn will run at the Gold Coast in three weeks time.”
The Falvelon Quality was a Magic Millions Wildcard Exemption race.
A half-brother to Group 1 VRC Victoria Derby hero Benicio and the Group II MVRC Sportingbet Classic winner Romneya, Roheryn is the final foal of Mannington who was purchased by Darley for $2,050,000 at the 2005 Inglis Easter Broodmare Sale.
A Group III winning half-sister to Coolmore Classic heroine Bollinger, Mannington is the product of multiple champion stallion Danehill and the Golden Slipper winner Bint Marscay.
Mannington spent a good deal of her broodmare career In America where she left the unraced Kingmambo filly Rose Trail who is the dam of the French Group III winner Rose Imperial (Pivotal) and the dual Listed winner Rosental (Pivotal).
Romneya is the dam of the multiple Group-placed Matilija (Medaglia d'Oro) and another daughter of Mannington, Rhema is the dam of the Group II ATC Sweet Embrace Stakes winner Always Allison.
Mannington died in May 2017. She had 11 foals, nine made it to the track with seven winners.
