There were four Randwick winners on Saturday that have siblings in upcoming sales and one of them is talented Fastnet Rock gelding Edison, who scored his first win in open company when saluting over 1400m.
Prepared by Bjorn Baker, Edison has been allowed to quietly work his way through the grades and was a last start winner in a Benchmark 88 event at Rosehill on December 5.
He travelled on the speed for Tim Clark and gave notice of more wins to come when surging clear to win by a length and a half.

“We’ve always had a really good opinion of him and I was grateful to get him as a well bred youngster for Highclere and he’s really dominant now,” said Bjorn Baker.
“Of his last six starts, he’s won four of them and kept going up and up, so now he’s off to the Magic Millions.”
Edison was a $310,000 Magic Millions purchase from the Segenhoe draft for Highclere Thoroughbred Racing (Australia) Ltd and has the overall record of six wins and five placings from 17 starts with prizemoney in excess of $475,000.
Bred by Fairway Thoroughbreds, Edison is the first winner for A Million Tears, a winning half-sister by Street Cry (IRE) to Group I winner Invest from Group I winner Unearthly.
The current yearling from A Million Tears is a colt by Fastnet Rock’s champion son Merchant Navy that will be offered by Valiant Stud as agent for Fairway at Inglis Classic as Lot 438.
