Fastnet Rock’s Brimham Rocks Wins G3 Tattersalls Cup

Champion trainer Chris Waller saddled six of the 10 runners in the Group III BRC Tattersalls Cup (2400m) at Eagle Farm and had the first four home with Fastnet Rock’s imported son Brimham Rocks (GB) leading the way.

Midfield in his two previous runs when not enjoying great luck in running due to wide gates, he made the most of barrier one with Ryan Maloney on board to run out an easy two and a quarter length winner.

Brimham Rocks has won six races and placed 10 times from 34 starts earning over $800,000 in prizemoney, with this success his second win in Group company.

He was an expensive purchase as a tried horse from the 2017 Tattersalls Horse in Training Sale, purchased by Waller Racing for 340,000 guineas.

Brimham Rocks it the best of three winners from stakes-placed Colima, a half-sister by Authorized to Group III winner Oh Goodness Me and stakes-winner Eradicate.
