10 Length 2YO Winner for Deep Field

Tara Madgwick - Sunday April 12

The Tony Gollan stable unleashed a super impressive debut juvenile winner at Doomben on Saturday when Deep Field filly Isotope won by daylight.

Having shown good ability in two previous trials, Isotope was sent out favourite and led for home , opening up to win the 1110 metre maiden by 10 lengths.

Deep Field had an impressive 2YO winner at Doomben on Saturday "She won a trial in December but she wasn't ready for the Magic Millions," Gollan said in his post race comments.

"I decided to be patient and put her away with the winter carnival in mind.

“It isn't a full winter carnival because of coronavirus but Racing Queensland has announced some black-type races for two-year-olds which should suit her. I have no doubt she will get further than 1110 metres. She will probably be best around 1400 metres."

A $170,000 Magic Millions purchase for Gollan Rcg/J Foote Bstock/Black Soil Bstock from the draft of Daandine Stud, Isotope is the first winner for Great Dansaar a half-sister by Choisir to Group I winner Yankee Rose from the family of New Zealand Derby winner Redoute’s Dancer.

Isotope is the eighth juvenile winner this season for Deep Field, who is also Australia’s leading sire of three year-old winners.
