Sandown Winner Pierro Belle Brings Inglis Easter Update

Tara Madgwick - Wednesday April 1

Former brilliant racemare Pane in the Glass is showing every sign of being an exceptional producer with her first three foals to race all well above average winners highlighted by Group I placed Xilong and her current yearling is an Inglis Easter entry for Newgate Farm.

Pierro Belle wins at Sandown - image Racing PhotosWinner of the Group III ATC Silver Shadow Stakes and placed in both the Group I ATC Sires Produce Stakes and Champagne Stakes at two, Testa Rossa mare Pane in the Glass was bought by SF Bloodstock for $500,000 from the Patinack Farm Dispersal in 2013.

Her first foal Roomooz (filly Fastnet Rock) fetched $480,000 for Newgate at Inglis Easter, won two metro races and was fourth in the Group II MRC Blue Diamond Prelude, while her second is Pierro Belle (filly Pierro), who made $300,000 at Inglis Easter and won her third race at Sandown on Wednesday.

Fourth in the Group II VRC Edward Manifold Stakes at three, Pierro Belle is racing in great form at present and scored a long head win over 1400 metres and has now won just shy of $100,000.

The third foal from Pane in the Glass is Deep Field filly Xilong, who made $360,000 at Inglis Easter and is yet to miss a place in seven starts.

She closed out her spring preparation with a win in the Listed MRC Twilight Glow Stakes and resumed from a spell with a tenacious long head second to Probabeel in the Group I ATC Surround Stakes.

Given the overwhelming success of the first three fillies to race from Pane in the Glass, all sold at Inglis Easter, it’s hard not to be keen on the prospects of Lot 125, this stunning filly by Capitalist from Pane in the Glass.
