War Front Fee Increased to $150,000

Tara Madgwick - Thursday October 10
US based Danzig sire War Front has had his fee increased by Claiborne Farm for 2014 to $150,000 up from the $80,000 he commanded in 2013.

War FrontThe progressive sire has had a benchmark year with European Group I Declaration of War for Coolmore and a string of Group winners including Data Link, Summer Soiree, Departing, War Command, Lines of Battle, etc.

The 11 year-old stallion was also in top form in the sale ring with his colt from Blading Gold Ring fetching $2.5 million to the bid of MV Magnier at the Keeneland September Yearling Sale.

"He's had a remarkable year, having had two winners on the same day at Royal Ascot and having topped the Keeneland September sale, which was very special," commented Claiborne's Bernie Sams.

"He bred 105 mares last year, and 104 the year before, but generally we try to keep his book somewhere around 95 to 100 mares."
