Champion sire Fastnet Rock produced the quinella in the juvenile maiden at Geelong on Thursday with the Yulong Investments colours carried to a very easy victory by the winner.
The Peter and Paul Snowden trained filly Fresh was a class above her rivals, dashing clear to win the 1125 metre maiden by three lengths over another Fastnet Rock filly in Personal, turning in a dominant display as a well backed favourite.
Winning rider Jye McNeil was full of praise for Fresh.
“She gave me a pretty nice feel,” he said.
“They can’t do it much easier on debut that that.”
A $380,000 Magic Millions purchase from the Baramul Stud draft for Yulong Investments, Fresh is the fourth winner from stakes-placed Savabeel mare Mother’s Milk.
Baramul Stud will offer the full brother to Fresh at Magic Millions 2020 as Lot 565.
