Enbihaar Bids to Give Redoute’s Choice Group 1 Honours in Europe

Mark Smith - Friday October 4

Coming off three consecutive Group II wins, the 4-year-old Redoute's Choice mare Enbihaar (IRE) faces her biggest test to date when she contests the €300,000 Group 1 Qatar Prix de Royallieu (2800m) on the Arc undercard at Longchamp on Sunday.

The Sheikh Hamdan Al Maktoum-owned mare is one of three runners in the race for champion trainer John Gosden, along with Lah Ti Dar (Dubawi) and Anapurna (Frankel).

Off the board once in eight starts, Enbihaar (IRE) has reeled off impressive wins in the Lancashire Oaks at Haydock, Lillie Langtry Stakes at Goodwood and Park Hill Stakes at Doncaster.

A €500,000 purchase by Shadwell Farms out of the Haras du Mezeray draft at the August Arqana Yearling Sale, Enbihaar is a half-sister to stakes placegetters Silent Attack (Dream Ahead) and King Bolete (Cape Cross) out of the Trempolino mare Chanterelle who is a sister to multiple Gr III winner Cox Orange and a half-sister to Group 1 Prix Marcel Boussac winner Amonita (Anabaa) out of the top-class racemare Spectacular Joke (Spectacular Bid).
