Air Force Blue In Demand

Mark Smith - Wednesday October 2

Do you own one of the 58 foals sired by Air Force Blue (USA) from his one season at stud in Australia?.

If so, you would be encouraged by the reception the first crop of the triple Group 1 winning son of War Front has received in the northern hemisphere.

On day 1 at the Goffs Orby Sale, the first of just three lots in the sale by Air Force Blue (USA) was knocked down to M V Magnier for €250,000.

Consigned by Oaks Farm Stables, the colt out of the stakes-winning Green Desert mare Secret Charm had a big pedigree update recently when his stakes-winning half-sister Hidden Message (Scat Daddy) finished second in the Grade 1 Del Mar Oaks.

Winner of the Dewhurst Stakes, National Stakes and Phoenix Stakes, Air Force Blue (USA) was warmly received at Keeneland and Saratoga recently with his first crop selling to US$400,000.

They might be in short supply however the only southern hemisphere crop of yearlings by Air Force Blue (USA) (image Mark Smith ) hit the sales next year.
