Peter
Dunn's Dodmark Thoroughbreds already have an exciting spring prospect and Derby
contender in Just Thinkin' and will be hoping to unleash another at Warwick
Farm later this afternoon.
The Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott trained Dundeel colt Entente was an eye-catching
debut third two weeks ago at the same venue and will be looking to cast off
maiden status in the first race on the card.
While Just Think' is a homebred for Dodmark Thoroughbreds, Entente was
purchased from the Inglis Premier Yearling Sale for $105,000 from the Bombora Downs
draft.
He is a three-quarter brother to Group III placed High 'n' Dry from Stratum
mare Nextess and while Black Type winners are sparse on the page, this colt is
bred on the High Chaparral x Redoute's Choice that is looming as a very
successful nick.
65 winners from 104 runners have been bred this way and they include five
stakes-winners – three of them G1 winners in Ace High, D'Argento and Inference
with the other two being Super Seth and Fasika.
Entente has been entered for the Caulfield Guineas and interestingly the
Melbourne Cup, so he's certainly one to keep an eye on today.
