The young High Chaparral mare, Alta Donna, is one of the highlights in the current gavelhouse Australia catalogue with bidding set to close on Monday 28 August from 7pm AEST.

Alta DonnaProving himself as not only a top sire but also a quality broodmare sire, High Chaparral mares have produced the likes of SUAVITO who claimed the Gr.1 MRC CF Orr Stakes at Caulfield, Gr.1 South Australian Derby winner VOLATILE MIX, Gr.1 HKJC Stewards Cup winner HELENE PARAGON and Gr.1 Deauville Prix Morny winner THE WOW SIGNAL.

Offered among other Lots in the gavelhouse.com Australia current catalogue by Sunninghill Farm who are cutting back on numbers heading into Spring, Alta Donnais out of the multiple winning Marquetry mare Blazing Lady who is the dam of two winners. Her third dam Erindale is a stakes performer and the dam of seven winners including the black-type Double Jewel.

Alta Donna has a yearling filly by Dissident and is currently empty.

Other highlights include:

Lot 1 – Beatnik. A metro winning gelding by Elusive City with earnings of over $63,000. A strongperformer over 1300m to 1600m he would be well suited to country racing. He is a three-quarter brother to Groupwinners FOR LOVE and STAR OF MERCURY.

Lot 2 – Call Me Sachi. A lightly raced four year old mare by Sebring who has placed second. Out of the black type mare LA CHASSEUSE who won over $320,000. Her second dam Gerber is the dam of 12 named foals, with 11 to race and all have been winners.Currently spelling she is ready to resume work or be sent to stud.
