Greg Polson previews Leeton Tuesday August 22

Greg Polson - Tuesday August 22

An unbeaten horse and jockey combination put their record on the line at Leeton on Tuesday and there will also be plenty of interest with a debut runner from the Neil Osborne yard.

Jockey Allan Chau has developed an affinity with the Trevor Sutherland-trained Willy White Socks, winning three from three, and Chau will be reunited with the gelding in the Brad Naylor Plumbing Benchmark 60 Handicap (1900m).

Chau had his first ride on Willy White Socks in a benchmark 50 handicap at Wagga on July 9, winning over 1300m, before a mile win at Wagga and going on to complete the hat trick at Narrandera on July 23.

Chau hasn't ridden Willy White Socks at his latest two outings when the gelding was placed at Forbes and Wodonga.

Willy White Socks has to lump 62.5kg on Tuesday but the fact connections have gone with Chau rather than an apprentice suggests they believe the senior jockey has the best chance of getting Willy White Socks home.

Willy White Socks is a winner at the track and distance and despite the weight will take plenty of beating on Tuesday.

The Neil Osborne-trained Patrika Belle goes to the races for the first time in the Leeton Chill & Grill October 21 Maiden Handicap (1050m).

A four-year-old daughter of Reward For Effort, Patrika Belle has trialled twice, finishing third in a quick trial at Goulburn last year and just over a length from Single Gaze when third in an open trial on the Canberra Acton track on August 11.

From an ideal barrier two on Tuesday, Patrika Belle only has to bring the trial form to race day to be getting the money.
