Peter
and Paul Snowden and the Triple Crown Syndications team were in the winner's
circle at Hawkesbury on Tuesday with promising Rubick filly Chelsea Reign.
Resuming from a spell, the filly was easy in the market but was strong to the
line taking a split between runners to score a nose win in the 1100 metre
juvenile maiden.
An $80,000 Inglis Classic purchase for Triple Crown from the Torryburn Stud
draft, Chelsea Reign is the first winner from Chelsea Hotel, a Dylan Thomas (IRE)
daughter of imported stakes-winner Chelsey's Image (USA).
Torryburn sold a yearling colt by Dundeel from Chelsea Hotel at the recent
Inglis Classic Sale for $120,000 and she has a No Nay Never (USA) weanling
filyl to follow.
Chelsea Hotel is now back in foal to Rubick, who has had a fee increase this
year at Coolmore rising to $38,500 this year off the back of his good results
on the track and in the sale ring.
Rubick has sired nine winners headed by Group II winner Yes Yes Yes and set a
new benchmark for himself in the sale ring at Inglis Easter when his colt from
November Flight sold for $900,000.
