Having ventured into the thoroughbred breeding industry just 10 years ago, Greg Tomlinson's Nearco Stud has quickly made its mark with Hong Kong Horse of the Year Beauty Generation one of a number of high-class gallopers carrying the NS brand.

Regularly reinvesting at the sales while also retaining a number well-bred fillies each year has seen Nearco Stud's portfolio grow significantly, particularly over the past five years. That growth has now presented breeders with the opportunity to tap into Nearco's successful lines with eleven in-foal mares for sale in the current 91-Lot gavelhouse.com auction.

Our Joan Of ArcBeauty Generation is just one of the successful products of Tomlinson's breeding program with others including Gr.1 Queensland Oaks winner Provocative plus the likes of Belle du Nord, Kuro, Distinctive Darci, Avisto, Manolo Blahniq, Miss Federer and Strada Cavallo.

With all Lots in the reduction sale offered unreserved, some of the highlights include:

Lot 61 - Mamma Ballena. An Iffraaj half-sister to Gr.1 Queensland Oaks winner, Quintessential, offered in foal to Darci Brahma.

Lot 64 – Musigny. A winner and stakes placed at two, Musigny is already the dam of Group performer Jimmy Lincoln - Great Profit (HK) and is in foal to Vadamos.

Lot 65 - Near Time. An imported daughter of a Gr.3 winning and Gr.1 placed Darshaan mare, Near Time is closely related to Cursory Glance, winner of the Gr.1 Moyglare Stud Stakes and is in foal to Darci Brahma.

Lot 67 - Our Joan Of Arc. An early speed two–year-old winner of the Gr.3 Maribyrnong Plate and Listed Gimcrack Stakes, she is already the dam of two multiple winners and is in foal to first season sire Time Test.

Lot 76 - Secret Spirit. Winner of the Gr.3 ARC Bonecrusher Stakes, Listed Great Northern Foal Stakes, Listed Levin RC Ryder Stakes and Listed Wanganui JC O'Leary Stakes, Secret Spirit is a sister to Group placed Sword in Stone who recently sold to Hong Kong. Offered in foal to Shamexpress.

Other covering sires of Nearco Stud Lots include Proisir, Reliable Man and Sacred Falls while there are plenty of other breeding opportunities in the auction with 47 broodmares for sale including more two and three in one Lots.

Other covering sires featuring in the sale include Derryn, He's Remarkable, Ocean Park, Puccini, Rageese, Redwood, Rock 'N' Pop, Swiss Ace, Telperion, Tiger Prawn, Vanbrugh, What's The Story and Zed.
