Arcadia Family Puts Spotlight on Holbrook Thoroughbreds

Hardly a week goes past when stakes racing in Western Australia is not dominated by high class gallopers bred by Bob and Sandra Peters and eastern states investors will have a rare opportunity to tap into one of their very best families at the Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale next week.

Julie Harris's Holbrook Thoroughbreds is the Hunter Valley nursery from which many of the Peters superstars emerge and they are also preparing a select offering of Peters bred yearlings that will be offered in the Holbrook draft.

Among them are three youngsters from the famed 'Arcadia' family that has enjoyed spectacular success in recent years producing Group I WATC Kingston Town Classic winner Arcadia Queen, Group II WA Derby winners Arcadia Dream and Action as well as this season's Group III winner Arcadia Prince and stakes-winner Regal Power.

All three are from the first crop of Golden Slipper winner Vancouver and are listed below.

Lot 360 Colt Vancouver x Antique Belle, by Redoute's Choice




Second foal of stakes-winner Antique Belle, a full sister to stakes-winner Broadway Belle (dam of Action and Regal Power) and to the dam of Arcadia Queen, Arcadia Dream, Arcadia Prince and Arcadia Rose.
