Winning
his second race at his second start at Warwick Farm on Wednesday was the Bjorn
Baker trained three year-old Snitzel gelding Green Aeon, who was a One to Watch
when winning ion debut at the same venue two weeks ago.
He led all the way and coasted home to win the Benchmark 70 event over 1400
metres by three lengths.
"It's onwards and upwards from here," said stable representative Jack Bruce.
"We'll see how he comes through the run and take it one step at a time."
A $300,000 Magic Millions purchase for Magus Equine from the Sun Stud draft,
Green Aeon was bred by Sledmere Stud and is a half-brother to Group I VRC Myer
Classic winner Politeness. He is the fifth winner from Berengaria, a
half-sister to Group II winner Thackeray and stakes-winner Fairytales, the dam
of Group II winner Parables.
Berengaria is now with Sun Stud and produced a Snitzel filly for them last
spring before visiting their young Snitzel stallion Thronum.
