Coolmore move on favoured Slipper colt

Breednet - Wednesday March 20
With just six colts guaranteed a start in the Golden Slipper where the rewards are potentially the biggest for a winning colt, Coolmore Stud have joined the ownership of one of the favourites.

Yes Yes Yes winning the Todman StakesCoolmore have bought into the ownership of Yes Yes Yes, a son of another Coolmore stallion in Rubick and currently the $7.50 third favourite.

It's become something of a common theme in recent years with studs being pre-emptive prior to the race, and now five of the six colts in this year's Slipper will go to the post with a stud in their ownership.

Along with Coolmore in Yes Yes Yes, Godolphin own Microphone, Aquis are in the ownership of Free Of Debt, Newgate Farm in Cosmic Force and Kitchwin Hills in Time to Reign.

Yes Yes Yes became the first stakeswinner for Rubick when winning the Todman Stakes (Gr2) at Rosehill two weeks ago.

He was a $200,000 yearling purchase at the Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale from the Kitchwin Hills draft.

Despite colts being significantly outnumbered by the fillies this year, three of the four runners at single figure odds are colts so the chances are high that the spoils that go with a Slipper winning colt will already be locked away.
