Saturday’s
racing at Randwick produced two more youngsters that are exempt from ballot for
the Golden Slipper with Anaheed (Fastnet Rock) and Microphone (Exceed and
Excel) joining Time to Reign (Time for War) as being assured of a start.
The
James Cummings trained Godolphin runner Microphone was elevated to $9 third
favourite for the $3.5 million feature after easily accounting for his
opposition in the Group II ATC Skyline Stakes, while Anaheed is now a $26
chance after she turned in a tough performance to win the fillies equivalent, Sweet
Embrace Stakes.
Brazen Beau colt Tassort, a stablemate of Microphone, remains a $4.50 favourite
for the Slipper despite being beaten last start in the Group II ATC Silver
Slipper by Time to Reign.
