Holbrook Stars for Classic

Tara Madgwick - Monday February 4
Julie Harris of Holbrook Thoroughbreds has some great types on show at Riverside Stables this week ahead of the 2019 Inglis Classic Yearling Sale with a crackerjack draft of 18 youngsters by a wide range of sires including reigning champion Snitzel and young gun Spirit of Boom.

Stunning Kermadec colt from Donna MadeiraThe action starts for Holbrook Thoroughbreds on Saturday night when they will offer Lot 79 as part of the elite Gold Riband session for specially selected yearlings with two year-old potential.

This session has already proved it's worth having produced outstanding filly Fiesta, the Darley Princess Series winner last year, so there is tremendous interest in just what hidden gems are featured this year.

From the first crop of outstanding miler Kermadec, this gorgeous colt is the second foal of Donna Madeira, who won on debut at Sandown as a two year-old and comes from the family of Group I winners Lone Rock and Laisserfaire.

He has a double cross of not one but two breed shaping sires in Sadler's Wells and Danehill, so is blessed with some of the very best bloodlines in the world.

The Holbrook draft for Sessions One and Two also includes:

Lot 147 Filly Sepoy x Bella Corona, by Beautiful Crown (USA)

Half-sister to stakes-winner Bewahatyouwannabe from good producing stakes-winner Bella Corona, five foals to race and all are winners.
