The dashing grey powered to an impressive win, his second victory from just three starts.
A $420,000 Inglis Easter purchase for ABC Bloodstock from the Bhima Thoroughbreds draft, Big Party was favourite for the Class Three sprint over 1200 metres and cruised home to win by a length and a half.
"He's a nice horse, he's still learning," said winning trainer Frankie Lor.
"He needed to learn to relax more in the race, because you can see sometimes in the mornings or in his trials, he pulls a bit hard. He relaxed a bit better."
Big Party is a half-brother to Group III placed Top Me Up and General Groove and is among four foals to race that are all winners from De Groove.
Bhima Thoroughbreds will offer the current yearling from De Groove, a grey filly by Scissor Kick, at Magic Millions 2019 as Lot 506.
