2018 Breednet Favourite Foal

Tara Madgwick - Friday December 21
Voting is closed for our 2018 Breednet Foal of the Year and the winner may very well be a Group I star of the future if we take into account the pedigree and the success of her breeders Bob and Sandra Peters.

Photographed at Julie Harris's boutique Hunter Valley farm Holbrook Thoroughbreds by Joan Faras (Faras in Focus) is this lovely Pierro filly, the first foal from Delicacy, the Champion Australian 3YO Filly of 2014/2015.

A homebred for the Peters, Delicacy won 12 of 19 starts earning over $2.1 million in prizemoney, racking up Group I wins in the South Australian Derby and Oaks as well as winning the Group II West Australian Derby and Oaks.

Coolmore's Golden Slipper winner Pierro was chosen as the first partner for the daughter of Al Maher and he's a sire that has already delivered much success for Mr and Mrs Peters giving them Group I WATC Kingston Town Classic winner Arcadia Queen and her Group III winning brother Arcadia Prince as well as Group II WATC WA Derby winner Action.

This little filly is one whose career will be well worth watching unfold!
