A
fast stakes-winning son of More Than Ready (USA), Lyndhurst Stud's Better Than Ready
added a third first crop winner to his tally at Rockhampton on Friday with a
runaway debut victory for Better Reflection.
Trained on the track by John Wigginton, Better Reflection was a hot favourite
and dashed away to win the 1050m scamper by nearly six lengths over Whitty
Girl, a daughter of another first season sire in Whittington.
A $20,000 Magic Millions Gold Coast March Yearling Sale purchase for her
trainer from the Yarramalong Park draft, Better Reflection is the fifth winner
from five to race from good producing Canny Lad mare Miraposa, a grand-daughter
of US Group I winner Grecian Flight.
Better Than Ready stands at a fee of $9,900 and at this point in time is the
leading first season sire in Australia by winners.
