Prepared by the Hayes Dabernig training partnership, three year-old Prism was sent out equal favourite for the 1300 metre three year-old maiden and looked the goods in her first public outing.
She stalked the leader and cruised clear to win by a length and a quarter for Regan Bayliss.
Passed in as a yearling at Inglis Easter and retained to race, Prism is the first winner for Group II placed Belsenica, a half-sister by Scenic (IRE) to stakes-winner Bel Thor from the family of Group I winner Piavonic.
She is the 15th winner this season for All Too Hard, who is great value at Vinery Stud at a fee of $33,000. His recent winners include exciting filly Reginae, who looms as a potential new stakes-winner this spring.
