Stakeswinners to Hong Kong for the new season

With the new Hong Kong season kicked off there have been some interesting Australian based gallopers left our shores in the past couple of months for a new future headlined by a Group One winner, Group One placegetter and a couple of other stakeswinners.

Dark DreamThis year's Gr1 Queensland Derby winner, Dark Dream left for his new home on August 20 and is the third winner of that race in a row to be sold to Hong Kong, with 2017 winner Ruthven and 2016 winner Eagle Way also heading that way.

The race has proven fertile territory for Hong Kong buyers with 2015 runner-up Werther going on to become HK Horse Of The Year and Eagle Way having won twice at Group Three level so far.

Group One Rosehill Guineas third placegetter Furore also left on August 20 while Maribyrnong Stakes winner Run Naan and Gr3 Zeditave Stakes winner Wild Heart have also headed that way.

Another interesting one to have left is Irish Bet, debut winner of the Inglis Nursery earlier this year.

Furore (4g Pierro x Stormy Choice) – Winner and third in the Gr1 Rosehill Guineas.

Irish Bet (3c Smart Missile x Dublin Me Bet) – Winner of the Inglis Nursery on debut.

Jolly Honour (4g Reliable Man x Vexed) – Metro winner.

Star Of Theharbour (3g Harbour Watch x Renascent) – Country winner.

Sun Quan (4g Squamosa x Lady Of The Valley) – Winner and 2nd in the Daybreak Lover (LR) at the Sunshine Coast.

Traminer (4g Dream Ahead x Viognier) – Maiden winner.

Nathula (4g Sepoy x Nanda Kot) – Provincial winner.

Pah Terie (4g Show A Heart x Exedra) – Metro winner.

Run Naan (3g Makfi x Raneen) – Winner of the Maribyrnong Plate (Gr3).

Weona Nicconi (4g Nicconi x Rhandara) – Winner.

Flying Murty (5g Murtajil x Wings Of Prey) – Metro winner.

Wild Heart (4g Hinchinbrook x Wildly Entertained) – Winner and 2ndin the Zeditave Stakes (Gr3).
