The first crop weanlings of Aquis Farm's foundation stallion Spill The Beans turned heads at the 2018 Magic Millions National Weanling Sale when selling to leading judges Segenhoe Stud, Paul Willets Bloodstock, Blue Sky Bloodstock, Fernrigg Farm and Mullaglass Stud.

In terms of profit margins, Spill The Beans was the second most profitable first crop sire of the sale with 10 or more weanlings sold returning an average of 2.55x his service fee – more than Vancouver, Exosphere, Pride of Dubai and Press Statement.

Trained by Gerald Ryan, Spill The Beans was a fast, precocious, undefeated 2YO, who matured at three to win multiple Group races before retiring to stud.

Champion Sire Redoute's Choiceand his sons have forged the most dominant branch of the breed shaping Danehill sire line in the Southern Hemisphere, and Spill The Beans is poised to write the next chapter of that success.

He was the busiest first season sire in 2016 in Australia and has covered 345 mares in his first two seasons at stud and has 140 yearlings on the ground.

Bred by the iconic stallion producing farm Arrowfield Stud, Spill The Beans had the all-important natural ability to match his well-constructed stallion's pedigree. Standing at Aquis Farm in Canungra at an advertised fee of $11,000 in 2018, Spill The Beans has returned from standing the Northern Hemisphere season at the National Stud in Newmarket, England as he prepares to cover another big book of mares this season on the back of his early sale ring success.

Aquis Farm CEO Shane McGrath is excited about the first crop of Spill The Beans yearlings that will be entering the Aquis Racing Division in the new year.

''We purchased two Spill The Beans weanlings at Magic Millions – a filly from Belaroc from the draft of Cornerstone Stud that we secured for $42,500 and we also went to $42,500 to secure the colt from Kas Nediym from the draft of Warrandale Stud. They are both early maturing precocious types who, along with our Aquis-bred Spill The Beans yearlings, will go through our racing system and be placed with leading trainers – giving Spill The Beans every chance to succeed at stud".

Bearing in mind Aquis and partners sent out the winners of 92 races in the 2017-18 season, not to mention the plethora of outside-owned winners that graduated from the Aquis Racing Division and its world-class training facilities at Canungra, Spill The Beans surely is poised for success.
